Review about Atma Center Buda
This yoga studio in Budapest is hugely popular (they have two locations, the one we are going to talk about now, and one near Kálvin tér.) Everyone who has ever been here (the editors of YogaYogi included) cannot stop talking about it. The amazing, down-to-earth and infinitely friendly atmosphere of everyone here, from the receptionists to the teachers and visitors. Everyone has a smile on their face and interacts with each other with kindness and respect.
So, if you have a bad day, use the studio as a feel-good therapy session! Just walk around and talk to people, do some yoga and you will come out happier. If you feel a bit shy on your first couple of go’s, they also offer private yoga classes where you can participate solo or in smaller groups. It will help you first get a hang of it before you dive into the larger group classes.
A yoga studio in Budapest with just the right amount of Zen…
Now, let’s go to more materialistic things, Atma Center itself. It looks exactly what you would expect a yoga studio to look. There are just the right amount of decorations, nothing too much. The quantity of “Zen” corresponds perfectly with the positive vibes of the place and the people in it.
The only minor hiccup is the locker room and shower situation, which can get very busy before and after classe. It can cause you to get a bit derailed from your peaceful state. However, if you keep up with your breathing exercises and arrive a bit earlier to change into your yoga clothes, there shouldn’t be a problem. Location-wise, you can easily access Atma Center Buda, because it is very well-connected, you can get here fast from any spot in the city.
The classes themselves are set more on the spiritual side. This shows in the yoga types you’ll find here. With sound-bath sessions available and pro meditation guidance, you can really get in touch with your inner self at this Buda yoga studio. The guidance will result in you experiencing each yoga pose so that you can benefit 100% from them.
Bonus: the plan of the Center is to open a café of sorts, where you will be able to find amazing vegan and gluten free pastries and great coffee. We can’t wait to try them!
